POEM 1

College is scary,

Too many applications,

It's stress inducing

One is done and complete,

Eleven left to do now.

POEM 2

College is daunting and unnerving.

Too many applications cause stress. 

Only one is completed and sent.

Eleven remaining to complete.

POEM 3

The daunting tasks of sending apps,

will stress me till I'm in my grave.

With one sent in I've much to do,

a few remain, I need rescue.

POEM 4

College is a daunting procces,

I need help from all of this stress.

One sent in and more remain now.

Help me before I go crazy.

POEM 5

How can I take all this stress from the common app?

When will I free myself, what shall I ever do?

One is sent, pending now...wait for the answer then?

Questions, and questions remain until then, but when?

POEM 6

It is daunting, and stressfull but worth it I'm sure.

But this old college process is quite out of times.

will I never forget all the stress that its caused?

I can't bare to continue with this process no more.

Dog Walking Distress (trochaic)
As we walk around the corner,
You can't stop your wimpering and
Never will you cease your barking.
All I want is peaceful dreaming,
But behavior is deceiving.
Please, oh please will you walk calmly?
Do your duties then we'll return.
No more can I take this chaos.

Tragedy on Christmas Eve (anapest)
When you were just a babe, and no soul had a clue,
We never could've guessed what old Uncle would do.
On that cold Christmas Eve, as the church bells were rung,
Only thing missing was our eldest son.
Then the questions were raised, where had Poor Johnny gone?
Not a single word said from old Uncle that night.
A few hours had passed, not a soul in our sight,
Little hope rests in us, no more fight this night.

First Blog - BLOG!

This being my first official Blog Post, it's very fitting of me to talk about blogging in general. Blogging is a very bizarre word. If you say it 50+ times, you'll start to wonder why it is called B-L-O-G. I think blogging is a great way to express feelings, interests, and many other personal/fun things. It's a entity for creating new, original thoughts. In my creative writing class, I hope to rediscover my creative side, and I believe this blog will help me do so. Blogging is also a place to communicate with others and share ideas. It will be very interesting to read others' blogs and for others to read mine. Blogging is an intellectual version of facebook, if used correctly. I intend to take full advantage of this blog, and CREATE original thoughts.
